Hello and welcome to my photography blog!
‘The Lives of Others’ is based upon the idea of voyeurism. How often do you walk past a window when the curtains have yet to be drawn and peer in? You have been allowed to view a stranger’s home; the most private of all places, to imagine what life they might lead. I have created narratives in these miniature environments such as single motherhood, isolation and loneliness, living in poverty and binge drinking, to address the more troubling issues in contemporary life. All the photographs have been shot with a large format camera and lit by tungstun studio lamps.
